ESPN 1150 WEAQ-AM is licensed to Chippewa Falls, and is a daytime station which signs off at 8pm in the summer and 6pm in the winter. AM 1150 first went on the air in 1953 as WAXX-AM. WAXX later moved from AM 1150 to FM 104.5 and is now one of our sister stations, WAXX 104.5.

Since 2002, ESPN 1150 has been the Chippewa Valley's home for Mike & Mike in the Morning, Colin Cowherd, Tirico & Van Pelt, local sports coverage with Kris Cooper and the latest in Wisconsin sports, such as the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers, with Bill Scott.
